Although with this surefire way to increase your traffic would cost some money. While some would shy away from spending money to increase traffic, it is imperative in this case to do so because Adwords and Overture is the top surefire way to increase your traffic.

2) Join Social Networking sites

Join social networking sites like Digg, Youtube, Myspace, Orkut, Stumbleupon etc and spread more and more about your site and you will notice a godzilla traffic on your website. The best traffic generators for me are Stumbleupon and Digg.

3) Don’t forget to use Viral Marketing

Viral marketing allows you to spread the word about your company and product without any costs or if ever low costs only. This is a marketing method that can be quite sneaky; you can attach your company’s name, product or link to a certain media such as a funny video, entertaining game, an interesting article or a gossip or buzz. With this method, people get infected with the creativity and entertainment of the medium that they will pass it on to many people.

4) Use correct keywords for your website

Search engines look for certain keywords that they would show in their results page. In doing so, having the right keyword and keyword phrase is a high requirement in ranking in high in search engine result pages. You can write content yourself or you can hire some professional copywriter to do it fro you.

5) Submit Articles

Submit articles to sites that would contain the same subject that your site deals in. If you sell laptops write press releases and articles about laptops and accessories. Don’t forget to mention about your and your site at the end of those artciles.

6) Join Forums and Discussion Boards

Think on the topics at which are you are best and then join forums related to those topic. Give advice to novice users in that area. You will find that peopel will start loving you and will visit your site and would be ready to take your professional help in that area.

7) Lastly, Offer newsletters.

Offer weekly or monthly newsletters to your users. Nesletters can be anything related to what you can write on. This will drive a very good traffic on your site and also the people will remain loyal to you forvever.

Just add this simple line of code in your robots.txt and search engines would auto discover your sitemap.

This would be the easiest way for webmasters to make sure that all their pages are properly and timely spidered by search engines.

Sooner or later this would surely be followed by all other smaller search engines also.

2 – Upload your cool funky videos at Youtube, Google videos, Vimeo, Myspace, Pixpo, Vsocial etc

3 – Bookmark your favorites, start digging n bumping at sites like Delicious, Digg, Blinklist, Furl, Netscape etc

4 – Submit RSS of your site at Technorati, Ping-o-matic, Yahoo, Rssfeeds, Pingoat etc

5 – Try to get links at sites where content is generated by users like Wikipedia, Wikitravel etc.

6- Upload and share interesting pics at Flickr, Fotki, Bubbleshare etc
