Here are some short tips to increase traffic on your web site through modern Web 2.0 way :

1 – Participate in Social networking sites like Orkut, Myspace, Hi5 etc

2 – Upload your cool funky videos at Youtube, Google videos, Vimeo, Myspace, Pixpo, Vsocial etc

3 – Bookmark your favorites, start digging n bumping at sites like Delicious, Digg, Blinklist, Furl, Netscape etc

4 – Submit RSS of your site at Technorati, Ping-o-matic, Yahoo, Rssfeeds, Pingoat etc

5 – Try to get links at sites where content is generated by users like Wikipedia, Wikitravel etc.

6- Upload and share interesting pics at Flickr, Fotki, Bubbleshare etc

  7. Many of the sites you mention are collaborative efforts by communities of users working towards a common goal. You may want to mention that many user-driven sites have policies and guidelines about external links. These sites also maintain and share blacklists of urls that are automatically blocked or deleted from submissions. Instead of trying to “drag” users to your sites, you should look for ways to collaborate that are mutually beneficial– submit links to sites that make sense. The best way to get users to your site will always be to have a site worth visiting!
